3 Reasons to Get the Ikon Pass

The Ikon pass is such an affordable ski pass for someone who is in the market for a ski pass. They are about as much as other ski passes, however, the benefits greatly outweigh other ski passes. I paid $539 for my pass but if you get the pass before October there is a $50 discount. Other passes in the area range from 400-600 for students. With the Ikon pass, it also comes with food discounts at all the resorts. There is a 15% discount so wherever you are you can get some food for a reasonable price. 

  1. Travel to Ski

As a college student, there is nothing more fun than being able to travel with your friends. If you are a skier than this makes traveling for skiing even more accessible. Paying for lift tickets is so expensive but if you have the Ikon pass then those lift tickets are now free. For example, one day at Jackson Hole is $180 during peak season. With the Ikon Pass, you get 5 days free at Jackson Hole. The Ikon pass allows you to open new doors and explore new places that you wouldn’t normally go to. I went to Jackson Hole with the Ikon pass this last week. This was never a place that I would have normally gone to but with my ski pass, I thought why shouldn’t I go? Along with Jackson Hole, there are so many ski resorts waiting to be skied. The Ikon pass helps you make amazing memories skiing some of the best resorts in the world.

  1. Never get bored of the terrain

If you go skiing quite a bit at the same resort it can get old after a little bit. It can especially get old if you have had a season pass to the same resort for a while. If you are living in Utah this pass is especially amazing because we have so many resorts around us. There are five resorts in Utah that are on the Ikon pass and they are some of the best ones in Utah. With the Ikon Pass, you can get a season pass to Solitude and then 5 days at Deer Valley, Brighton, and Snowbird/Alta. Even if you don’t love going to Solitude you still get 15 days at other resorts nearby which is plenty! You will never get sick of skiing the same resort because the moment you want to go to a different resort you can. Each resort has a different terrain and a different vibe. Brighton is known for its park while Snowbird and Alta are known for their cliffs. Even if you decide to get the pass for one year it will help you decide what resort you like the best.

Those are just a few reasons as why you should get the Ikon pass. Overall it is such an amazing deal which will result in so many amazing memories.
